The Truth Will Out...
So Kate called late - very late - last night, and I asked her to clear out while I picked up more of my stuff, and we got to talking, and...in fact, she does not like Alex. Big surprise. KD can only play the wounded righteous one for so long, and then out come the claws.
They have one thing in common, actually, and neither one thinks the other should have it.
I tried to explain to Kate that Alex was different than the other exes she's driven off. She said , "I know. That's the problem." She didn't yell, or scream, or get hysterical, but she asked me what I wanted, and whether it really was going to work that way. She asked me what I thought Alex wanted, and I didn't have good answers for any of it. She left the big bombs undropped, but she didn't have to.
I think Alex would like it if I could erase Kate completely. Hell, I'd love to get rid of tons of my past, especially the things Kate and have in common. But I can't. And some of those things are why I like Kate. Some of those things are why I threw in the towel with her. Is this a conversation Alex is really ready to have?

Hmm. Mike, is it possible you relish the attention you are getting from these ladies rather than having to make a decision? Naw, didn't think so. Talk to Alex.
I agree with the ladies and stick with what I said in reference to your last post: Pick one of these ladies and stick with them and let go of the other. Riccie is right: Are you just liking having all this female attention!!! :)

That Thursday, January 12, three panels of 50 voters will receive an e-mail. It will list the weblogs that have receieved the most nominations in ten categories. They will have until 10:00 PM EST on Tuesday, January 17 to privately submit their five favorites (six for Weblog of the Year) for each category. The five (or six for Weblog of the Year) receiving the most votes will become finalists. I (Nikolai Nolan) will only vote for the panel in the case of a tie for fifth place. This panel is on an opt-in policy; there is a checkbox on this form for it.
On Friday, January 20, the finalists will be announced and voting will be open again to choose the winners.
Voting will close at 10:00 PM EST on Sunday, January 31. The winners will be posted sometime between Sunday, March 13 and Tuesday, March 15.

Oh yeah, she is totally ready to have that conversation, Mikey. The question is, are you?
If you want your relationship with Alex to grow, or even continue, you'd better think about having some serious talk time with her. Because if nothing else, you at least owe it to her to explain why you don't just give KD the boot once and for all.
Even if you keep KD in your life, explain to Alex why you like her alittle. She, with every right, is inferring the wrong thing. If you explain to her what exactly is your relationship with KD is, then I wouldn't think she would have a problem with that.
It doesn't matter if KD does not like Alex, its not her business to like Alex, its yours. You do not need her blessing.
Ask yourself, Is Alex worth it? (so help you God if you do not answer correctly) If yes, then fight like hell to keep her by yor side because she is the greatest person in the world. Lol. I am biased....

Come clean mike, get it all out in the open straight away that way they can't suprise you with it later.
What, you mean, just say, "Look you two, you want to strip down, oil up and fight, I'm down with that?"
Ah, if only 'twere that simple...but things have gotten more complex than they were when my grandparents were 'a courtin' (and lemme tellya, that is one UGLY story to hear as a child...)
